The Ketogenic Diet Has Become Much More Buzzworthy

The Ketogenic Diet has become much more buzzworthy in the last few years, mostly due to the health benefits, including weight loss. The goal of the Ketogenic Diet is to transition your body into a state of ketosis, meaning that your body is burning fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates or sugars. Ketosis is an ancient evolutionary tool that allowed human bodies to temporarily use fat for energy when we couldn’t find enough carbohydrate-rich foods. As this process evolved, increasing evidence showed that short-term ketosis can yield health benefits, due to metabolic switching and therefore enhance brain health, in addition to many other benefits.
On a Ketogenic Diet, you will achieve ketosis primarily by restricting carbohydrates, consuming moderate amounts of protein and high fat; however, the type and amount of fat is important. This is where the challenge comes in for beginners implementing the keto diet properly and for your most benefit. But when done in a balanced fashion, it is so effective!

A Majority Of The US Population Is Obese Or Overweight

The keto diet has been highly researched to benefit those with epilepsy and other neurological concerns, diabetes, hyperinsulinemia which is responsible for many health concerns including PCOS and erectile dysfunction, cancer and for weight loss! A majority of the US population is obese or overweight, which increases the risk of most chronic diseases. Research demonstrates that the keto diet is effective in helping people lose weight, and fairly quickly. This is due to the switch in how your body makes energy and completely shifts your metabolism to support weight loss. You will turn into a fat burning machine helping you reset, detox and lay the foundation for great health.
Most people also notice an improvement in mental clarity, energy, stamina, curbed appetite and cravings, improved blood pressure and even better sleep! Some people may experience what is called the “keto flu” which can present with fatigue, constipation, bad breath, insomnia, headache, weakness or nausea.
These symptoms may be caused by low blood sugar, electrolyte imbalance, carbohydrate withdrawal and/or dehydration, all due to cutting carbs! Generally these symptoms resolve or can be avoided with proper hydration, salt use and a guided keto diet implementation plan for weight loss.
We find the most health benefits when using the Ketogenic Diet for short term purposes, as there are no studies on long term health effects, that’s why this January we are offering 50% off of our Keto Kickstart Program!
